The Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of Information is seeking to hire a Non-Tenure-Track Lecturer to begin teaching in August 2025. This position involves teaching a variety of in-demand, lab-based courses, including introductory and advanced networking, operating system scripting, and programming. Knowledge of virtualization, artificial intelligence, and machine learning is also a plus. This role primarily focuses on teaching, so candidates passionate about education and with experience in the specified subjects are encouraged to apply. The School of Information (iSchool) is one of six academic units within the College of Computing and Information Sciences. It manages academic and curricular development for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in three undergraduate programs, three graduate programs, and two advanced certificate programs. In Rochester, the school serves over 700 students, is supported by 30 faculty members and six staff, and provides academic assistance to RIT’s global campuses in Croatia, Kosovo, and the UAE. The iSchool exemplifies the university’s commitment to the teacher-scholar model and is a leader in grant generation and scholarly publications. The faculty includes several award-winning teachers and recognized leaders in professional service. The school is home to various labs and research centers and plays a significant role in RIT’s Computing for All initiative.
