Drexel University, College of Computing and Informatics
Application Deadline: November 30, 2022 for full consideration
The Department of Information Science in Drexel University's College of Computing and Informatics invites applications for multiple tenure-track and tenured faculty positions at the Assistant Professor and Associate Professor levels in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science (DS). While all competitive applications in these areas will be considered, the IS Department particularly encourages:
AI applicants focused on use-inspired research, human-AI teaming, neuro-symbolic methods, and human language technologies; and
DS applicants focused on research in scalability, cloud-based technologies and crowd work, deep learning frameworks, and on data engineering for and with machine learning.
Applications are encouraged from candidates with interest in using their focus area(s) to solve socially relevant problems at the intersection of computer, data, and information sciences that are synergistic, mutually supportive, and leverage the strengths of our College, University, and greater geographic region.
Within cover letters, candidates should justify how their research interests are complementary to current research of the department. Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV/resume, list of references, and statements describing their research program and teaching interests. Applicants are encouraged to use teaching and research statements to reflect on their experiences in promoting diversity and inclusion.
To be considered, applications must be submitted online through Drexel Careers. Evaluation of applications will be conducted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. Applicants should apply by November 30th, 2022, for full consideration.
