The Cybersecurity Department in the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity (CEHC) at the University at Albany is seeking applicants at the Assistant Professor level for a tenure track position at the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.


Candidates' research focus within both AI and cybersecurity is open, so long as it involves both topics. The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential to research and teach in the new Cybersecurity department. They should be able to take an integrative approach in working with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of backgrounds within and outside the department and college.


Candidates should show evidence of their commitment to pursuing challenging research problems in cybersecurity and AI. Research that impacts the real world in various contexts, such as business, healthcare, energy & sustainability, critical infrastructure, and government is preferred. CEHC has a goal of creating a dedicated team of researchers and educators capable of enabling our students to successfully explore and interpret the rich array of disciplines and perspectives contained within cybersecurity and allied disciplines.
