We are seeking faculty colleagues with interdisciplinary, sociotechnical systems research interests in the general area of health informatics. Candidates should be able to articulate a research agenda that fits within the broader research interests of the iSchool and demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a highly interdisciplinary environment and actively seek external funding.
Successful candidates will be expected to conduct impactful research and teach in health informatics and one or more of the following areas:
emerging applied artificial intelligence,
human-centered data science,
cybersecurity,
human-centered computing,
user experience (UX),
or data management.
Successful applicants will be expected to teach at all levels, including courses in the school’s bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs; experience with teaching online, as well as face-to-face, is preferred. Faculty typically teach 2 courses per semester each academic year. All faculty members are expected to advise students and to serve on School, College, and University committees, and to be active in professional and academic organizations.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants will have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in information science, biomedical and health informatics, information technology, computer science or another relevant discipline.

Considerations
This is a Faculty position. This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The preferred starting date is Fall 2024.
