The University of Arizona invites you to join a panel of alumni and current academic librarians to hear about academic librarianship and career paths. Nicole Pagowsky, Anthony Sanchez and Annabelle Nunez will be speaking about their current careers at the UA Libraries, pursuing MLIS and PhD degrees from the UA iSchool, and the winding career paths that have brought them to their current positions. These speakers will share career advice and their own experiences pursuing higher education from the University of Arizona.

Meet the Speaker
Anthony Sanchez is a social sciences librarian at The University of Arizona, where he works closely with faculty and students supporting in-depth research and is a co-founder of the CATalyst Studios, a multidisciplinary makerspace sponsored by the library. Anthony has previously held academic library positions at the University of California, Riverside; Phoenix Community College; and Glendale Community College. He earned a BA in English literature and an MA in library and information science from the UA.
As the Associate Director at the Health Sciences Library, I serve as the second in command under the Director of the library. I collaborate with the HSL leadership on operations and strategic priorities for the library. I oversee outreach initiatives, events, and exhibits. I am currently working on developing Hispanic Serving Institution initiatives for the library.
