Meet the Speaker
Rema Padman is Trustees Professor of Management Science and Healthcare Informatics in the H. John Heinz III College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Her research and teaching are focused on healthcare informatics, analytics and operations to provide decision support in the context of e-health, m-health, chronic and infectious disease management and workflow analysis. She received B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, PhD in Operations Research from the University of Texas at Austin and National Library of Medicine-funded Senior Fellowship in Applied Informatics from The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She is an elected Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association.
