The Master of Library and Information Science program at the Indiana University School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI is 100% online program and is accredited by the American Library Association (ALA). We offer a general plan of study as well as specializations including Public Librarianship, Technical Services, Technology Management, Youth Services, School Library, Archives Management, Digital Curation, and Academic Librarianship.
We also offer a certificate for certified teachers interested in adding to their license. The core learning concepts for the graduate certificate include: collaborative instruction, design, delivery, and assessment, integrated technology, student inquiry, 21st Century skills and processes, collection development, library program administration, basic resources and ILS management, PK-12 youth literature, and advocacy and leadership.
