About

Enssib is a public institution that operates under the auspices of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. As the National Library and Information Sciences School, it trains managers in information, documentation and library sciences for the public and private sectors, through a combination of initial and continuing education. It puts great store on research as well as on promoting science and culture, particularly through its publications, its events program and the distribution of its open access resources.
Enssib provides initial statutory trainings for civil servants destined for scientific and supervisory functions in libraries ; a lifelong training program in information science and libraries, on site and remotely ; three tracks of Masters programs (Information and Library Sciences ; History, civilizations, heritage ; Digital Humanities). It also provides two diplomas, all carried out remotely.
