iConference 2020 to go Virtual
In light of ongoing global health developments related to COVID19, the leadership at the University of Borås has advised the iConference organizers against continuing with an in-person international gathering and are instead calling for a virtual format.
The conference organizers are now in the process of transforming iConference 2020 into an interactive, all-virtual format. The organizers look forward to working with the iSchools community to bring this new conference plan to fruition.
Full details on this will be posted in the near future, and all registered participants will also be contacted directly.
The organizers ask that everyone hold off on their questions for a few days while details are sorted out.

The consequences of the coronavirus outbreak are causing attention and concern around the world. We hope that all our colleagues in affected areas are well.
The iConference organization team is closely monitoring the developments and follow the recommendations of the Swedish State and Public Health Authorities. We also encourage conference participants to follow travel recommendations issued by authorities in their respective countries.
At the moment there are travel bans in some affected areas. The organizers are exploring possibilities of presenting papers and posters virtually for participants from these areas in an attempt to support the knowledge exchange of iSchools world-wide.
We look forward to seeing you in Borås next month. We will continue to monitor the situation, and all delegates will be promptly informed if any significant changes become necessary.
