The organizers of iConference 2022 have proactively announced a two-day deadline extension for Full Research Papers and Short Research Papers. The new deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021. All research papers are due end-of-day, 23:59 SST (GMT-11). This extension is being made proactively due to an unprecedented number of author-requests related to COVID and other factors, as noted on the iConference home page:
Under ordinary circumstances the iSchools do not grant extensions for submitting papers, but COVID and other factors have made this an extraordinary time. Many people have asked us for an extension and many good colleagues are working under considerable stress to get a paper done by Monday. The iSchools have decided to grant an automatic two-day extension for full and short research papers until the end of Wednesday Sept. 15, 23:59 Pacific Midway (SST, GMT -11) for the good of the whole community.
This change to the papers deadline does not impact other tracks. The deadline for all other iConference 2022 tracks remains Oct. 4, 2021. This includes Posters, Interactive Events, Doctoral Colloquia, Early Career Colloquia, and Student Symposia. iConference 2022 will take place online, Feb. 28 to March 4.
