Wuhan, which is endowed with abundant tourist resources, is a famous city with long history and splendid culture. Scenic spots with natural and cultural sights are widely distributed in three towns of Wuhan. Hubei Museum has 200,000 pieces of collections, among which the set of Zenghouyi Chain Bells has a history of more than 2,400 years and still preserves a pure sound. The East Lake ecological tourism scenic area covers an area of 88 square kilometers full of Chu atmosphere and charm. Yellow Crane Tower is a landmark building in Wuhan and it is one of the four most famous towers in China. It also enjoys the reputation of the “Superb scenery in China”. Other famous sights and landscapes include Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, Guiyuan Temple, Wuhan University, Chu River Han Street, and Mo Hill, etc.

There are a wide variety of distinctive snacks with a long history in Wuhan, such as Bean curd Skin Rolls (dou pi), Fried Rice Doughnut (mian wo), Steamed Dumpling (shao mai), and Hot Dry Noodles (re gan mian). Besides the snacks, Hubei cuisine ranks as one of China’s ten major styles of cooking with many representative dishes. With development of more than 2000 years, Hubei cuisine, originating in Chu Cuisine in ancient times, has developed a lot of distinctive dishes with its own characteristics, such as Steamed Wuchang Fish, Hongshan Vegetable Bolts with Bacon, Tangxun Lake Fish Dumplings, Xiaotaoyuan Chicken Soups, Mianyang Three Steamed Dishes, Huangzhou Dongpo Pork, and so on.
